1. Choose a nick:
/nick <yournick> (without <> of course)
2. Register that nick:
/nickserv register <password> <email>
3. To identify your nick later:
/nickserv identify <password>

You don't have to use the same user name, but you must use the secret IRC invite code which you can only get if you can log in to the web site.
