While we are on the topic.....

Is there a way to backup your copies of Gamecube yet? I have quite a few disks now, and fear that the kids are going to scratch one or ruin one. I hate to pay the high prices for replacements.

The xbox uses a proprietery dvd read cycle. You can swap for an oem drive, but the xbox won't see it.

    I don't think so.

I heard that the GCN disks spins the opposite direction of a normal disk, and if the GCN disk spins the same direction as a normal disk, then the data can't be read.

When I open up the GameCube, the disk is spinning clockwise.
I read that there is limited success on the gamecube copies. Mini DVDs.

But I heard that the next Playstation is going to be reverse spinning.
