Thread: What DVD player do you recommend?

  1. #1
    Hi
im looking for a new standalone DVD player, since my current LG-T250SC is quite problematic. althogh the image quality is excellent, it keeps freezing and jumping whenever i play any video burned in any format on any media, especially DVDs (original DVDs play smoothly and flawlessly). so i would like to know whats the best DVD player out there, that plays any media and any video format smoothly and in excellent quality? and if we are at it, whats the best DVD media, DVD burner (i use lg gsa-H12L), burning software (i use nero7) and burning speed for burning videos on CDs and DVDs?

    Thanks!

Check out Oppodigital, have one myself and it plays anything I put in it. I use Memorex and Mr.Data for most of my DVD/CD burning needs, although I do use TuffDisc on occasion if I really need a decent backup (*cough porn *cough). As for burning speeds, it really depends on the quality of the burner, I usually go on the premise of burning movies at 3/5ths of the maximum burn speed of your burner.

hxxp://club.cdfreaks.com/ have lots of information regarding your query.

You might wanna check for a firmware update to your LG player. That might fix your problem.
