It forces it so when you go to filesharingtalk.com to go the sites server even if the DNS isnt routing properly yet...

That 'trick' won't work once the server's IP changes though.
Although I have no idea if it does.
I had the same problem.
Rather than use a proxy or force the address in the hosts file, I changed my DNS server from the default provided by my ISP to one of the tier 2 OpenNIC servers.

From what I can tell, these seem to be updated much sooner than ISPs' private servers. In my case, the responses seem to be much faster too.
One other advantage I just though about - unless it is actively monitoring packet contents, your ISP doesn't see or log your DNS requests.
