    will former users be able to log in, or do they have to sign up?

    It says in the login page that previous users will NOT be able to get in. And the new site looks nice, BTW.

    yeah, i read that. well i gues it will take them some more weeks to get it done.

    i must admitt i was a bit dissapointed when i joined it for the first time a few month ago.

    The site looks awesome. Looked great before, but now forget about it.

    I just hope that this time around ....

    RTS2 will be back soon (~2 weeks +/- 3days), there will be only about 300-500 users from old RTS, most active users ...

    Best of luck to RTS with the new userbase. It is probably smart to eliminate those accounts that were created during the last few weeks of open signup that site had. However, I can't see how they're going to avert the same problems that they had the previous time they opened (community too small, not active enough, not enough people for donations, etc.)

    Yeah, I wondered exactly the same thing - I even pmed Frozen the new sysop. He said that the server funding was a lot cheaper than the first time, and that staff would be able to fund the site at least 12 months. He also said people will be active if there is something worth downloading on the site, and that there would be a lot more releases on site, with good speeds (dont know if thats going to be true or not though). As for the community, I assume they will grow slowly, building a good userdatabase.
