Black XP dvd 4.0

Finally got it and it was worth the aggravation for the wallpaper alone . I'm going to try on a used computer today but you can just insert the DVD and under Install you can find the Wallpaperpak.



Keep in mind there is a fix for the Tweak Services option and a stand alone app called Black XP Control Panel so its like three D/L's . I have the fix it's easy to do , you replace a script file to WPI before you burn the ISO ,it repairs a glitch to the tweak services option . Its made by Gamerman , bless her lil heart .

You don't need it if you don't pick the option but some of my bud's are really dumb so I 'll add it .

Fix NFO : Update Black XP 4.0

This is a simple update and here are directions:

Open ISO of Black XP with UltrIso, supplied here

and drag the include script to the WPIScripts folder

and click replace, then hit save.

That's it.....


This fix fixes the bug that after the script hits 100 percent

and all programs are installed it will hang at 100 percent - but only if you picked tweaks.

Sometimes you just have to smile at the hard work that people go to bring a program to torrents . Since my last post Black has gone to version 4.05 and the "Final " till Dec. 07 anyway called XP Black Gold Master .


Just some minor fixes and a hoard of wallpapers , newer programs . tweakts etc. Demonwarez mentioned she replaced Windowsblinds with a older version as the new one was unstable .

Thought that was interesting , any version is worth the D/L but if bandwidth is a problem look to the Gold as it has all the new goodies and fixes . Good luck .

How bloated is this version of XP? Looks like it scores high on the eyecandy charts but is it at least faster and more efficient than the regular XP?

ur best bet is to dl it from rapidshare if u have an account. i guess u could try to get it off demonoid too...although it will take some time. Unfortunately i dunno enough about proxies to give u guy any sort of advice about that

i have it installed on one of my machines here at home and to be honest its not all that great. You need to have a very beefy system for it to run halfway decent-it uses up alot of resources. and if you DO have a system that can handle it...why waste ur power on black xp when u could actually be putting ur hardware to better use?

all in all black xp looks nice but runs pretty damn slow even applying every speed tweak and service disable that i can think of. you could get the skin from windowblinds and object desktop (also from stardock the windowblinds people). these two apps would provide u with the look of black xp and also the mac osx looking launchbar u see at the top of the screen in black xp.....and they would use far less resources than this blackxp will.

the only thing i can say about blackxp that i really liked was that it has ALMOST EVERY FUKKING HARDWARE DRIVER IMAGINABLE

Malware ? Mabye only the misinformed would call a key generator malware , do you have a site or example ? I did n't have a problem installing on three machines .

We all know Symantec gives false positives but clean install or are they trying to burn the ISO , then trying to install a few programs from the Install folder and using the provided key gen . ? Malware for christ sake its probably a part of the windows files . Anyone remember Alexia ?

Nope no Dell sound drivers as I tried but not a surprise there as thats the problem with proprietary systems .

I'm only referring to some non-filesharing forums I've visited where people are worried that there's a chance the creator (whatever it is he's called) might've put some type of backdoor program that can turn pc's into bots without users knowing it. I know it sounds inane as hell but i suppose their worries are predicated from the fact that this is a black market sort of stuff and they can't always trust the source from there. Of course I know better.

cant u just use your dell driver cd? or the driver wizard software from the site? is it realtek?

Blacks XP 4.10 Final is up on Demonoid as well now. Its the last release until 5.0 in December. For those that don't want to use Demonoid's slow seeders , it's also available on usenet.

I DLed the "thin" version of the new Black XP and Kaspersky 7.0 indicated a trojan, which I attributed to the keygen issue.

Haven't done anything with it anyway...
