Uninstall Nimo pack build 8, and install a different pack like K-Lite codec pack. The ffdshow filter is an older one with the nimo pack that has problems with xvid. Should resolve it. Moving topic to MovieWorld - now that you're a member, you don't need to post in the Guestroom! Welcome aboard.

mate, thats quality advice its all sorted now, thank you very much, ive a feeling that was my propblem with a hell of a lot of files all along.
