How are these specs for a new computer? i'm selling my current computer and i'm going to buy a cheaper one. does this sound like a decent setup for casual gaming, and movie encoding?

Googlegear 601FPB-420DF Mid Tower Case with 420watt PSU - $64
    (2x) Vantec Spectrum UV LED Case Fan Blue/Green - $35 (17 each)
    Intel D865GLCL i865G P4 Skt478 DDR-ATX Motherboard - $118
    Intel Pentium 4 2.4ghz 800mhz FSB with fan and heatsink - $174
    Corsair VS512MB400 512mb ddr400 pc3200 CAS2.5 memory - $97
    Gainward GeForce4 PowerPack! Geforce 4 Ti4200 128mb 8x AGP - $127
Antec Cyclone Blower Cooling Fan - $14
    (2x) Western Digital Caviar WD400BB 40gb ata/100 7200rpm Hard Drive - $126 ($63 each)
    Toshiba SD-M1712 16x/48x DVD-ROM/CD-ROM drive - $40
    Liteon LTR-52246S 52x24x52 CD-RW - $46
    Samsung SyncMaster 950B 19" CRT moniter - $189
Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 5 Button USB mouse - $25
Microsoft Multimedia Keyboard OEM - $25
    Factory Refurbished Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 - $100

I plan on overclocking the processor to 3.0ghz, and i'm going to overclock the geforce4 ti4200 to ti4600 levels. any suggestions for anything different?

I can't understand why you would want 2x 40GB drives.

For less money, you could get a single ATA133 80GB drive with 8MB cache - use the saving to get a higher spec motherboard which supports ATA133.

Less heat inside your case too.

i hate radeon, there drivers suck, and i've trusted nvidia ever since the old tnt2 riva days. and nvidia rules at drivers, and the ti4200 overclocked to a ti4600 will own the radeon 9800 anyways. i might consider grabing a radeon 9700 pro and overclocking the snot out of it. but i'm pretty sure i'm going with the ti4200. and lynx, i'll prolly go with what you said and get a better motherboard, and go with 1 80gig.

Can i remeind you that overclocking a Ti 4200 will not give you 4600 performance, it may achive the speed but it could only pull to that of 4400 performance
