Herrick is disappointed. I received an invite the day before it went down. I thought this was a private tracker though. I didn't think public ones required invites. Ahh well...it will be regular trackers for a while longer.

Well, aside from the fact that Demonoid had several open signup periods, the tracker itself has always been publicly accessible. Many indexed torrents on public search engines/indexes like torrentspy/mininova/etc list demonoid torrents as well.

Ah yes, that's true. I remember seeing Demangoid listed in some other torrents. Why would they require registration to use their site but stay public? I'm not sure how all this works. I've only used public ones that do not require registration.
