I understand burning .iso's w/ nero, but am new to .bin/.cue files.
I'm about to burn Microsoft_Windows_XP_Corp_SP1_Integrated to disk and just need to know whether to select this option or not. What does it mean?

    Thanks.

if the default is checked, i suggest you dont mess with it and leave it checked...
probably makes it work better or something.

It is not checked by default.

When unchecked, you are given the option to "test", "test & burn" or "burn", and have a write-speed drop down menu with default 4x (600 KB/s), 8x (1,200 KB/s) and 2x (300 KB/s).

    >When checked, all of that disappears except the "burn" option.

I've already wasted 2 cd-r's experimenting -- I'd like to get it right this time...

The cue sheet will tell Nero how big the Block Size is and what Data Mode it should use. Without it you might aswell be making coasters!

leave it unchecked and make the burning speed at the highest.
then, i suggest of a test&burn cos that way if it wont work, it will tell you and you wont have wasted a disc.

I opened the correctly written cue sheet with nero, everything's raring to go -- I just need to know whether to check the "create image" box or not...

And if anyone know, please describe what enabling it does that so I get the sense I can take your word for it

nope do not check it and make sure you do a test&burn process, cos it will first test and see that everything will work, and then it will burn.

it doesnt make a difference at all.
    use the fastest one.
my friend told me that the slower you do it, the higher the quality=bullshit...
do it at x8 (which also seems slow for me cos i can do it at x52 ...).
