    Hi everyone,

I am going to get a seedbox sometime this week. Do any of you have advice or tips for which one would be good to get? I have a $50 - $100 budget and I came across these options.

    1. www.hosting-ie.com
    VPS Raptor 5 $50/month

    2. www.vectoral.info
    Spring Athlon $89.95/month

If you use something else that you think is good please let me know. I might also need some help setting this up if I have problems. Thanks again.
Leaving FST for awhile. Will be active on 1 or 2 private trackers and will still use a seedbox. Thanks to all the members who helped me along the way.

I've never used hosting-ie and I just got a vectoral. Like it so far.
I think the highest upload so far was 10.6MB/s

But I would recommend leaseweb. I used them for my first seedbox and they had it setup in less than 24 hours and everything was good. I'm not sure if it was as fast as vectoral, but it was still good speeds.

Wishing for a FTN or SCC invite

A dedicated server like the vectoral spring athlon is always going to be faster than a vps (shared solution) and vectorals speeds are the best, If you just want the server for a short period, i.e. one month then vectoral is definitely the way to go, one piece of advice if you are going to select a linux distro for the operating system for your server ( a Windows 2003 server license costs extra ) choose a Fedora core based distro, these are relatively simple to configure and are very secure by default.

Can I get unlimited bandwidth with Vectoral? I think you have to pay extra for that though.

Actually when you breach your limit, the charge you the extra on a per mb charge. When you significantly breach your limit, they pull your network cables out until you purchase additional bandwidth.

OK, I've got one and now I'm logged in. Now what do I do? It's just a blue screen.

Install the programs, depends on the OS. If you picked windows its like a normal computer. If its linux, its a little more tricky but practically same concept.
