Thread: Got A Movie Slightly Out Of Sync How Do I Fix It ?

    ok got pirates of the carribean in mpeg format but the sound is slightly out of sync,i wanna burn it to dvd-r so how can i get the sound back in sync,is there a programe that will do this and a tutorial to show me how ?
    any help would be great

    Maybe you could try using virtual dub1.3c and using the "sound displacement" option. Giving positive and negative values should either speed up or slow down the sound. The problem is it's hard to tell sometimes whether the sound is faster or slower than the video, especially if the lag is slight.

    Usually the audio out of sync is caused by a problem somewhere in the audio encoding. to fix this you want to extract the audio using to Vdub to a uncopressed wav file, and then put in back in.
