As you can see I have been working on taking the engine apart for a engine rebuild.

They are quite seductive as project cars, given the reasonably wide track, the AWD and the turbo...as you are finding, however, time is well-spent selecting a viable specimen.

The newer ones (the Mitsubishis) are a bit too luxe to be very entertaining.

So you've purchased a parts car..

You've probably got lots of good usable mechanicals in the drivetrain, etc.

I'm sure you can sell/use enough of it to make it worthwhile.

I wouldn't feel awfully bad, if I were you.

    Well, they do.

I would suggest that should you decide to part it you only do so on a "you pick it up and pay cash" basis.
Otherwise you spend inordinate amounts of time picking and packing little shit and it's guaranteed that 25% of the buyers will be unhappy for some crackpot reason.

A policy of "the warranty extends to the end of my driveway" and
"no refunds because your bitch wife is appalled at the money you spent on greasy crap" will serve you well.

    I speak from experience.

    Recent experience, at that.

All good advice, especially the "pick-up-and-pay" part.

Most efforts to optimize profits will be in vain, unless you are contemplating going into the business, which really sucks.

Take the money and run; that's the ticket.
