I use Webshots. Depends what sort of wallpaper you want i suppose, this is more photography than animation or 3d art. I personally love it, even upgraded (payed) my membership.

Doing a Google image search has found me a lot of wallpapers.
Just type in what you want maybe, like, space pictures type 'Space' then go to advanced search options
and select Wallpaper size.
I've also found alot by simply doing an image search on the resolution I want.
Sometimes I'll search 1024 or 1152.
Tons of results.

Some desktop wallpaper looks really nice, but do you think it makes any sense at all for someone to charge you for it. I would never pay for desktop wallpaper. If thats the case then Ill make my own.
