Thread: Virus problem.

  1. #1
I have a file on my computer called age2upa.exe its a patch for age of empires 11, now all of a sudden avg is telling me there is a virus in it. The virus is in the secdrv.sys file which is part of the age2upa.exe file. The virus is called obfustat.zqb any one know if it is harmful and if so how can i fix it. thanks for any help. I have the secdrv.sys on my computer but the file is larger then one which is suppose to have the virus in. Is there any way of swapping the file in the exe file for a different one, as i have already download another copy of the file age2upa.exe with the same result.

    What anti-virus are you using?
Sometimes Kaspersky deletes the virus within the file, and manages to keep the content of the file.

I think obfustat.zqb is a trojan, but I can't find any info on it. You should be using Kapersky or NOD32.

Yeppers I would n't worry about it too much . Sometimes an updated virus or trojan scan finds a trojan or spybot that we thought was safe . Windows Black XP has one that never caused me grief but still deleted or guarantied just to be safe .

Blackbird has an answer for it , just try that ?
