well if http is ddos then we must use https but most i use http and open just fine.

you can make a ddos at https. the https is a way to keep the login crypted wich will provent (as I said) about 50% of the bruteforcing at the login.php. It can't be done to prevent ddos, unless you get a superdupermega good server I could explain but I believ we are too much of topic now.
