    i have a leeware box, lets say i want to rent it for a week.
    but i dont want to give that person root access, cuz then he can change the password and not give it back. is there anyway i can give someone temporary axx, lets call it a temporary user. if it helps the week i rent it he and only he will use the box.
    so, is there a way?

    You can just add a user on your server. To do this, you log as root, you type "useradd pseudo". That will create a new access. To change the password, you just have to type "passwd pseudo".

    After that, you can just give the pseudo and the pass and he will be able to log in the server wwith putty and run things as vncserver (for exemple, the pass to log in the vncserver will be specific to the user who launch it putty)

    When you want to delete his access, just type "userdel pseudo" that will delete the user. If you want to delete all his data, type 'userdel -r pseudo".

    web ui is not enough because what he will do after he fiild up the 20 giga?
    he cant delet it throght web ui

    1- what is the difference between webui and giving him a user?
    2- what access does the user have (or not have)

    1. WebUI is accessing uTorent remotely, giving him user is giving him access t to OS.

    i would add that the WebUI of utorrent doesn't allow you to see all the informations seen in utorrent, like the list of peers

    but it's pretty much the same thing, great web interface
