Thread: Cd Cleaner

    ive just run out of cd cleaner and one of my ps2 games is dirty what else can i clean it with cause it will not load and its pretty damn dirty

    apparently rubbing it with toothpaste on a soft lint-free cloth removes scratches - i've never used it because i manage to keep all my discs clean and in perfect condition

    if its just fingerprint than use rubbing alchol and a cottom ball

    You could try Game Doctor(its at most video game stores-EB).

    i have a skip doctor, and it made my ps game totally unplayable, but im sure the game was almost completely shot anyway but hell, it was fun turning the handle :-)

    Standard window cleaner works just fine.

    The only thing to worry about is creating scratches in the plastic. These are easily removed using fine car polish/wax.

    It's not rocket science. If the plastic gets too scratched it deflects the laser light and keeps it from achieving/maintaining focus on the substrate/medium.

    BTW, it's common knowledge in the repair business(which I'm in) that the Skip Doctor is a complete waste of money.
