Problem With Windows Xp Pro

Whenever I open a new window eg.Explorer,my laptop shows a window saying that it needs to connect to the internet,page not available offline or something.I have to click cancel on this box three times to get rid of it.My system still works fine but this is getting irritating now.
Has anyone any ideas what I can do to stop this?

i was facing the problem as you, just delete ur current internet connection and then set it up again.
