It's absolutely irrelevant whether or not you have dynamic or static ip when it comes to torrents, neither of the two has any impact on torrent performance

DHCP has nothing to do with torrents, it's only used to assign you an ip address from your isp and yes it's ok to have it on auto

I read your reply, you are being throttled by your isp obviously.

Feel free to PM your isp name and i'll confirm if they throttle or not

Also pick a high range port number in Utorrent. do not use the default number as it has many holes and is blacklisted on some sites as well. Good luck!

Yeah I heard it had a lot of problems with port forwarding so I upgraded the firmware.


And I'm using Utorrent. Used to use Azureus but a lot of trackers banned it.

I also have this router, I had LOADS of problems with it. I had upgraded a the firmware using one of these

Now be sure you know the risks of upgrading the firmware before you do something wrong. I can say I have used this very firmware over and over with no problems ever and I helped tremendously with all the problems I was having. Good luck

Also it may be a site bug, have you reported your problem to a staff member there? They may be able to help on their end, I actually had the same problem on SCT for a while off and on.
