What Do I Need.......?

Okay I have a Radeon 9000 Pro and it has tv-out capability, but what do I need to get it to work on my tv? The back of my card is a s-video cable plug thing so I think I need a S-video to RCA adapter and then what do I need because I don't have any plugins on my tv so I will have to run it through my VCR. So will all I need is the adapter and then I guess a RCA cable if that is what it is called?

that s-video adapter has an s-video jack on it, rather than an s-video plug. that would work, if you run an s-video cable from the Radeon to the adapter, and then an RCA cable from the adapter to the TV.

i'd recommend that you get an adapter like this one (with an s-video plug), instead. stringing two cables together through an adapter would prolly increase the possibility of distortion/degradation of the signal, so it would be better to use one like this so that you only have to use the RCA cable.

ALSO, if you want the sound to come out of your TV, you might wanna spend a few more dollars and get a splitter for the speaker jack on your PC's soundcard, and then a 1/8"-plug-to-RCA-stereo cable. so you can plug both the PC speakers and the TV into the computer at the same time.
