Thread: Extract Video From Half Downloaded Avi's?

    I want some footage from a film but its 700mb and the footage is close to the start of the film and thats all the footage I ant and I dont want to download another 600mb as waste space, is there any way to extract it from the dat file or an incomplete avi?

    I believe when K-dat previews a file there is an option to create a temporary file. That may do what you want

    download AVI Previewc (ddl). it's a great command driven program to create a new avi file from a partial download.

    the avi created by the program will be playable in pretty much any player you have (even wmp)

    it's a great little program, there needs to be a pinned topic on it

    Of course, this really will only work if the part downloaded is the part you want. Things are downloaded in fragments.
