I Put The Url In As Avatar Thing

I put pics on a site, and I put the URL as the avatar thing and it says its not a valid file extension. How do i make it so the pics work....

use a jpg or gif extension...

are you trying to use bitmap (bmp)?

None of them are .bmps, all are either .gifs or .jpgs.

Daft question, but did you put in the http:// bit?

I think He named the picture something like this:

http://www.mysite.com/my.avatar.gif

The forum will think it's an .avatar file (which is not allowed nor the file extension excists)

The correct URL would be:

http://www.mysite.com/avatar.gif
