Msn Messenger 6 And Constant Ads

hi
i downloaded MSN 6 about 3 days ago from www.messenger.msn.co.uk like i have done with all previous version of messenger, but with this new msn 6 i keep getting ad banners up with the title ''MESSENGER SERVICE''-these r real annoying so can anyone assist me on the removal of these ad banners- ive tried adding that patch around the net which claims to remove all ads from msn 6 but this has not worked

run msnconfig from ur RUN (in the start menu)

click services

find the service "Messenger" and uncheck it DONE

thanks for the reply-but when i go to RUN and type in ''msnconfig''like you said it comes up with an error saying it cannot find that file-check spelling etc

im on XP PRO-does that make a difference or is there another way i can sort this problem

To Remove MSN Today Pop-up
Tools>Options>General>untick Display MSN Today

To Remove Ad-banners
Mess.be and download the ad-removal fix for MSN6.0, just look closely at the MSN6 section.

get MSN+ or use the search option 2 search 4 MSN6 on this forum, it has lots of cracks listed.......
