Yep just got into comics. I've been into tintin for quite some time and someone suggested alan moore. I started reading the first issue of V for Vendetta last night. I have the watchmen as well, but have yet to read it.

V for Vendetta is a perfect place to start with Moore.
"Strength through purity. Purity through faith".
You're in for a treat. There was actually a seven year gap in writing V for Vendetta as the comic it was originally printed in (warrior) went bankrupt in 1982 and Moore had to wait all that time before DC agreed to print the rest of it.
His comics are amazing. For some reason they seem so much older. They have a Cold War Era feeling. I guess the early 80's was like that.

The more you read of him the more you'll realise that no-one in the comics industry can even touch him. He's totally transformed the medium.
Genius.
*edit* 200 posts whoo hoo.
Definitely. I have to say I was always quite biased against comics.. thought they were all superman and that kind of over the top stuff. But his comics are so down to earth and more realistic. I just love it.
