How to play .mkv files and burn them to DVD

Thanks for the tutorial.

I assume the second part of the tutorial is for standard definition rips. I know DVD is more portable but it would be nonsense to convert a High Definition rip to a DVD of course

They also play on VLC without installing or setting anything.
