    I was speaking 2 friend who swears there was a old black & white Batam tv show b4 the camp 70's show... is he right.....

    He's right, Metro.
    There was one done in the forties, I believe.
    A bit like the old Superman episodes.

    He also says that there was no Batmobile, and Batman had fight normal bad guys, no Joker nuthing....

    Actually that is not true. The original Adam West Batman series was first aired in Black and White in some early episodes in the 60's.

    Yep Chalice was right there was a Batman series in the 1940's god dam i wish,

    i could watch them...

    I'm sure i've seen one over here in the UK, was a Batman where Alfred drove Bats to the scene in the Limo/ye olde car comparible to a limo at the time (in Black and White, fourties setting and style). Seemed sorta corny, but was def from that period. I'll have a looky at that link i think.

    The Batman series in the 40's were serials. Short movies played at theaters. The precursors to weekly TV shows.

    TV wasn't even widely available until the 50's. Early TV shows(especially in the 40s) were mostly made up of former vaudeville acts.
