The only problem with using proxies is when someone who abuses their membership uses the same proxy as you.
You could then find yourself locked out if the IP of that proxy gets banned, or you could find yourself associated with the offending member if no-one realises that there is a proxy involved.
Neither of these happens often, so you probably don't need to worry about it.
Of course, Reality will be banning your IP just for bothering us with the question.
