Try giving yourself a static ip outside the dhcp range. For example, make the router give DHCP leases from .100 > .107 and then assign yourself ip .110 .. I can't give a reason why to do this, other than thats how I've always done it, and seen it done.

I also run dd-wrt firmware on my router, and I have no issues. It should be as simple as you are making it.

    Good luck!
All firewalls are off, and I actually have DHCP turned completely off since all my PCs have static IPs.

I've used .100 for as long as I can remember, with no problems until now

Well when did the problem start? After the isp switch?

Did you make any other router changes? or just the isp switch

go to the command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" to get the DNS address because the one you put in is wrong

The one I put in is the one it gave me. And if I was having DNS issues, I wouldn't be able to browse without using IPs.

I went from a WRT54GL with Roadrunner to a new WRT54Gv8 with Qwest.

Edit: I went ahead and set up OpenDNS, just to ensure that DNS problems were not the cause of this. No change so far

So you made the settings "Get DNS Automatically" and went to check it using ipconfig /all?
And you could use OpenDNS with your router and computer if it's a problem with the DNS, which I'm sure it is.

Also, can you repost the pic of your router config page?
I think you're using modded firmware....

Have you tried using PCconfig to forward your ports?

    https://portforward.com/store/pfconfig.cgi

Also what client are you running if its Utorrent then follow the guide below.

    http://www.portforward.com/english/r...5/Utorrent.htm

I know it says WRT54Gv5 but I am hoping that not that much has changed from v5 to v8.

    Setting up a atatic IP guide-> http://www.portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm

I know you said you already did this but I thought I would throw it in anyway.

Based on the screenshots he posted before, he's using Vista.
    So the link would be:

Maybe that's whats doing it. Did you use dd-wrt with your old router?
