    is there any way that i can protect my file ! you know sometimes when you wanna delete a file you receive a windows message like " file is being used by another program" in this case thats exactly what i want!

    well, you can put "read only" which would ask you each time you want to move / rename / delete

    You can try making a backup.

    And even if you delete from recycle bin, as long as the bits dont get overwritten, you can still recover the file.

    For locking it, not sure though, and i'm sure you don't want to download a program for that :\

    You can use some good protection programs like FolderGuard etc. for the same
