ill get the dvd5 iso if im gonna watch on my tv (dvd9 dvds are way more expensive than dvd5's which is why i go for the compressed one)
on my computer i'm not too picky, i'll get x264 or xvid, normally whichever has the higher quality/ fastest speed

Lowest I'd settle for is CAM, but that's only in extremes. I usually wait until R5 and DVDR

I used to watch xvid rips pretty often, but then I got a powerful computer and started watching movies in 1080p or 720p (esir releases are the best).
But to answer to your question dvdrip xvid is the lowest quality I watch, never CAM or R5.

I'd say a decent quality Xvid R5 or TS.
