Just wanted to get an opinion was looking at the raptor lin 577 vs the lin 581. the biggest difference between the two for me would be the ram the 1 gb in ram vs 512 and the setup fee of $79 vs $29. i will be running windows server on it and was wondering if the setup fee of 79 fo the 577 vs 29 for 581 is worth it. want windows to run smoothly and have read occasionaly about the disk overloads due to not enuf ram. Just want to know if it is really that nessesary. Any help would be great.

You definitely need 1GB ram for Windows server. I have a Raptor 3 from them and I can say from experience 512MB is not enough for windows. You will experience disk overload quite often and it literally kills your speed.

By the way, have you checked this guide for setting up utorrent via wine on a unix based OS? 512MB ram is more than enough.

If cost is a factor - get the raptor and run a nix box.

If you must run a Windows box, then take the advice above.

And look for an OVH Kimisurf running nix for the best small package seedbox there is.

Neither, I have not been able to log on to my box for a week. I have sent 3 support tickets and none have been answered. They only replied to a reboot request and ignored the others. Up until now I had been happy with my Raptor 3 VPS but I only had it for 2 weeks until this and now I am stuck with a 3 month contract.

Trying to rent a box from hosting-ie is like pulling teeth. They take 5 days to get back to you, then they want every piece of id you have.

On the other hand I got my OVH box within the hour
