put more thought into your replies u idiot. yes u can use an emulator if the emulator supports playing games in ISO format, or whatever format the game is in.

    shut the hell up, newbie.

"no" is my way of saying that there is no such thing as a dreamcast emulator that runs commercial games.

I'll have to support you this time. It seems 'no' is a better answer instead of an answer that gives the wrong information. Like what 3RA1N1AC said, there is no DC emulator out that plays commercial games ATM. If you want to play downloaded DC games, then you should get one that's labeled 'self-boot'(which means that the iso doesn't need a bootdisc or a modchip to play), or get a bootdisc to play backups.

of course it's possible that there could be a real dreamcast emu in the future, but if you actually go out and look for the info on the web, you'll see that...

... so far, dreamcast emulation consists of a widely publicized fake called Nightmare, which was nothing but a scam to get people to send a guy cash money in exchange for his so-called DC Rom Ripper... and one or two very primitive emus that are just starting to run very basic tech demos, but no actual games. if Nightmare were real, you would have seen people creating tons of DC rips in the exclusive Nightmare format so people could play them on that emu. but it never happened because Nightmare was a fake.

used DCs are cheap. for approx $30-$40, you can buy one and play downloaded DC games without modding the DC. if you want to wait a few years, maybe one day you will be able to play ISOs on a DC emu. if you want to play DC games, you can buy a DC. if you don't know what you're talking about, you can come to the K-Lite forum, call me an idiot, and provide completely false and useless information.
