So as the title says would I mess anything up if I wire together 2 fans to connect into 1-3 pin connector and plug in to my MoBo?? They are 2 120mm front intake fans and I would want them to run at the same speed anyway and I am also short 1-3 pin connector on the MB itself. I have already made the splitter and sleeved it quite nicely but I am affraid to connect it as I don't want to fuck my MB up? What do you guys think??

You can only monitor the speed of one of the fans.

The third (usually yellow) wire is the pulsed signal return from the fan.
There's no sensible way to combine two (or more) signals, so you will have to leave this lead disconnected except on the fan you want to monitor.

If both fans are identical you should still get an approximate speed, unless the unmonitored fan fails.

I'd check to ensure that the two fans won't pull more amps than the header is rated for.
Just to be safe, don't you have an unused molex to connect to?

Yeah I do sure, but I want to minimize cables in there, I don't really care about monitoring them I will just leave them full speed I was just concerned about the power usage. How would I check what the header is rater for? Also I added 2 custom Esata ports and a 4 pin power outlet I should be done tommorow or so and I will post tons of pics.

    Dunno.
My manual is decidedly light on such detailed info.
    Maybe the website?

Just get the Sunbeam and be done with it.

OK so it seems to work, no data is reported but the fns are powered. I pluged them in individually and then together and there is no difference i can see. I just hope nothing burns out in a day or so. I am going to order the sunbeam but I need something for now.
