ok can i add an additional question relating to this topic?

Say you use the money of the cc, how would you go and pay them back....am i right in thinking that they just take it from your account?

If you mean the check card.
then yes the money is instantly taken from your checking account.
just like using a check but its instant and accepted just like a credit card

They send you a bill.... you send them a check.


Or you can have it automatically deducted from a bank account


Or you can pay online (from your bank account).

A few more Q if you don't mind:
is a check card the same as a debit card?
are there any limits on a d/c, cos i plan on getting something online next year if i have the money, and would prefer a debit card to a credit card.

With debit cards, it usually depends on your account type. There's nearly always a limit on cash withdrawals, and there's usually a credit check limit on purchases, but if you are having something delivered to your address they will make sure the money is there to cover the purchase otherwise no limit.

You could also enter the wide world of credit card forgery. Some buffoon was on a while ago prancing about and yelling that the federal government doesn't care if you commit credit card fraud, as long as you aren't stealing somebody else's PIN.
