it's kinda ironic the warez scene which is meant to be free uploads to rapidshare which requires premium membership to be able to use it properly. i've got a premium acct which i use but for people who don't it can be quite frustrating.

Russian warez sites don't use rapidshare alot but I don't rembmer any names cause I'm torrenting now and left the warez long time ago

Webwarez sites were always kinda commercial. They had advertisement and partner-links, malware and the like.
Instead of servers that never work, or linking to demos on manufacturer's server, they now dump stuff on Rapidshare and other filehosters.
Personally I think these sites like rapidshare-ddl, katz, phaze-ddl etc. have poor quality and look more like spam than 'warez'.
I often have the impression that it's common for the 'webwarez' that they mainly want to generate traffic - and warez are used to attract the users.
