Thread: Upside Down Xvid Movies

  1. #1
Hi! I installed the K-Lite Codec Pack on my Windows XP. When I tried playing a movie that's encoded in Xvid, it plays it upside down. All other formats play correctly. Can someone help?

    Thanks

Tis effect can be rectified with a directshow filter called bicubic resizer.

If you installed this with the K-lite codecs then remove it.

If you haven't got it installed then get Nimo Codecs and install these (reading and following all instructions) in place of K-lite Codecs.

Go to Divx Digest site for a link to Nimo Codecs.
DOWNLOADING IS FUN - SHARING IS SUBLIME
When all else fails - read the instructions!!!

    Are you using subtitles?

Click on the arrow icon in your system tray to flip the picture.

Otherwise go to the Codec properties in your player. There should be an option in one of the filters.

I'm not using subtitles, and I'm using Windows Media Player, which I can't seem to find where the Codec properties are.

    No. Nimo is very outdated.

    In Windows Media Player:

    File > Properties > Advanced

There you should see all codecs and filters that are used by the movie. One of them has an option to flip the picture.

in the bsplayer you have the option to flip an xvid "properties .. xvid mpeg4 video decoder ..and do this with the movie running"
