    Hi all,

There is a file in "temporary internet folder" which I can't delete.
It's not the hidden IE5 folder with all the shit in it, but a small file around 9kb.
When I empty the "temporary internet folder," the file stays behind.
When I then try to delete it, windows says, the file doesn't exist.
It doesn't have an extension nor a name.
I checked for viruses but found none.

I used winoptimizer to clean the pc, but the file didn't move

    Any help?

    cheers

Are you trying to delete it from IE/ file/ tools/ internet options/ delete files

If not, there will always be one file left in use by explorer (you're in explorer when you view the folder contents)

You could try to get rid of it in either Safe Mode, or MS-Dos. I forget how to get into safe mode, i think, when you start up, u press either f-2 or f-12, oh well it's one of the f-somethings (NOT F-U). And it would be less of a hassel to go through safe mode than dos.
Only in a computer will I find happiness.

It wouldn't happen to be the index file would it? If it is then there is a reason why it is there and that would be why you cannot delete.

It's not the index file in IE5, I know about this.

I saw it a weak ago which always stayed behind when I emptied the "internet explorer folder." It just stays there.

Here is a edited pic in paint:

here's another one and again, it's not the index file

    Ok....this should work:

Delete the folder Temporary Internet Files Then re-create the folder.
