it might not matter for the average user, but that 1 or 2 extra seconds make the difference between first and the rest. If ScT uploades 100 torrents 5 seconds earlier than FTN it doesn't matter that Brandon thinks this is not important, what matters is that this would mean ScT is first and FTN is second. This is just a random comparation of course
