Try a different player like PowerDVD, WinDVD, MediaPlayerClassic, ZoomPlayer, BS, etc.

i tried some of those programs none of them seem to work. they cant open the DVD. i am hopefully looking for a way for it to be opened in Windows Media Player. any suggestions?

PowerDVD installs its own drivers. I had the same problems you had until I installed PowerDVD.
