    thanks paul, gotta keep those virus defenitions up to date with all the stuff u can catch now. i just got another one of those error type pop ups. it says: Cannot read subscription data. You may need administrator priviliges. humm maybe thats y my Systemworks says that Subscription Service isnt installed. anyone know about this, if its important and how do i fix it?

    Try to uninstall Norton AV.

    Then remove all left-over pieces:
    - look in the 'application data' folders for left over files
    - look in the 'common files' folder fo rleft over files
    - liveupdate
    - norton livereg


    Then install it again. That usually fixes weird problems.


    Also the Symantec website has a big knowledge base in which you can look for a solution.

    Yes works sometimes but uninstalling and reinstalling programs can hurt your system,so attention don't exagerate.
