I've been gone for a little while so I need to catch up on my spam......anyway here goes:

This defintion I pasted from dictionary.com(no i'm not promoting the site) is not helpful to me very much. I'm mostly new to the internet-I've been on more in this one year than I've been on my whole life. I would like to know what is acceptable. Some pointers. For instance, if you don't really know a user that well, is it ok to pm them?

No. I don't anyway.
But I don't mind if people PM me for a serious question, or a private joke.
Also, capitals are considered shouting.
You are allowed to make fun of the MODs in a respectful manner. Hell, you can say what you want about them, as long as you put a behind it, they'll always fall for that one.
Don't flame members with high post counts if your count is below 100. (unless it's the likes of hypo and consorts)

Sum of it all: just blend in...when in Rome, act like a tourist.....
