I don't get the point of pasta, ditto rice. Whenever I order a takeaway they always seem incredulous that I don't want any rice or noodles. And why would I want to go to a restaurant and order pasta? I generally only eat that when I run out of food. No-one goes out or rings up and asks for a nice big tasty plate of bread and butter, so why pasta and rice?
