Thread: Looking to make .avi's out of Dvd's

    Hi,

    Anyone tell me the best and fairly simple program that I can make good quality .avi files out of my Dvd's?
    I realise this probably has been asked lots before but I couldn't find one thats good so sorry in advance .

    Xilisoft DVD Ripper Platinum 4

    The best converter, support XviD, x264, etc. 2-pass and crop image.

    Hi Billy,
    some of the best results have been by a person named axxo
    he uses a unknown formula but he does produce some dvd to avi's that are
    quite good...a person named PAKKO thinks he knows how.
    "You will need 4 bits of software."
    1. DVD Decrypter
    2. AGK
    3. AVImux_GUI (installation instructions at end of guide for this one)
    4. K-lite Codec Pack (if you already have a codec pack installed you can leave
    this one out)

    to get his guide, go to google and type in pakko guide....it usually shows up about 5 or 6 down from the top
    it is usually in a pdf format wrapped inside a winrar file
    it has screenshots and a play by play
    won't hurt you to give it a try

    good luck
    it takes a few tries but it does work
