Im pretty new here myself but you get into the forum pretty quick, soon it will start to grow on you. hehe.

And i can't do anything else than agree with the boys - Do not download programs of open-trackers.
Sure everything is not disease ridden but the chance is always there that something got a nice trojan or something lurking inside.
(I know for a fact that people like to bake trojans into programs/games/keygens and upload to T*B and hope someone grabs it)
Ive always been pretty paranoid about stuff like this, i always run keygens with sandboxie if i grab them from some open forum/tracker.

I've gotten a fair few viruses from public trackers; especially with applications.

i got most of my apps stuff from RS... but yeah there is always a possibilities of malware. that is reduced to a minimum when you are in a private tracker. i agree.

So thepiratebay is a only a site? and im right now seeing on bittorrent open for signup thread. U think I can get better speed with those sites. Ok im trying

Anyway so basically everybody is telling me not to use BearShare and thepiratebay... And that is y? Only because of viruses? I mean I DL a lot of songs with BearShare at least which I cant find on thepiratebay... (besides I really dont like vm thepiratebay being slow)

afaik TPB is only a kind of search engine for torrents ... i only use it for older/rare stuff you rarely find at private sites. and the seeding mentality kinda sucks on open sites anyway ^^
