I tried playing my mov. files on the Quicktime Alternative and everytime I do the sound is very crappy. Its like a studdering echo sound. Also sometimes the video isnt as seamless and flowing as the Realplayer Alternative. Does anyone know what the problem with the sound could be? I've used the original Quicktime player in the past, and I remember the sound acting up like this. I haven't used quicktime much, but I thought the sound should be better than this. Should I try another video player? Any help greatly appreciated.

I would suggest go to the doom9 forums and search for "mplayer". They are always compiling stuff if there are any new compiles of mplayer that would be where I would look. The problem is that's alotta searching. Warning: Make sure you are downloading the windows version, as mplayer is native to linux.
