I have seen a few threads in the last few days looking for advice on uTorrent settings but I am wondering what are good settings for uTorrent on a 1gb ram OVH seedbox?

    Global connections?
    Connections per torrent?
    Upload slots?

    Cache settings?

More generally what is the best number of torrents to upload and/or download at the same time?

    Anything else worth noting?

Slayer, there's no way a hard disk can cope with that many simultaneous read/writes. If anything, you're going to reduce performance.

    Global connections: 200
No of peers per torrent: 50
No of upload slots per torrent: 50

    Override cache size: 512
    Deselect "Reduce memory usage"

LOL your all pretty stupid arnt you.
Them settings on the global connections and such are there just random.
yhea i would never even get that many!
The disk cashe is set to 900mb in case it needs it,witch on a kimi some times it does.
You say i no nothing about servers.
Thats why i have around 10 and ive been uploading for 2 years.
Oh yhea and ive never had disk ovaload like you certain people who open these threads.
So i must be stupid hey.
So for me that the way my settings stay, always stable always fast.

I also set disk cashe to 1500mb on a box with 2gig of ram,as i said just in case it needs it.
So to people with a kimi reading this always set it as 900mb on ur disk cashe.
What is the seeder being used for?yhea a seedbox not a media player or converting shit or running applications.

I hate linux, except for seedboxes, where windows can burn in hell. Deluge strokes my gbit's delicately.
