    Hey guys

I have decided to be nice to myself and treat me with a Brand new LCD 42inch screen .
So I was looking around and the technology got way to advanced since I bought my last TV(24inch SRT).
So if you be kind and suggest for what kind of qualities I need to look for in that LCD such as: HD full, USB connection and on...

    Thanks.

go with this one....i have the same model but bigger size and am extremely happy with it. its the first lcd tv to actually catch my eye at the store. i've always thought flat panel tv quality was inferior but for this one i made an exception and bought it right away

it would be helpfull if u would specify ur budget ...In general i would say go for PLASMA if u r gng for 42" and above as the resolution is better than LCD in general ,..

the biggest problem with plasma is that it doesnt look good all the time and can also be havily affected by glare.

try watching plasma in a well lit room...it will annoy the shit out of you

I have to disagree as well. LCD is by far a better picture and tons more reliable than plasma, even with the recent advances in plasma's LCD is still a way better product.

I can highly recommend the one I had gotten recently. 42" Toshiba 42RV530U I got it as a kind of a first HDTV and I do have 3 small kids so I kind of cheaped out a bit but I have to say the thing is really good. 4 HDMI ports. No USB I'm afraid but the price is right around $1000 US for a 42" LCD 1080p TV that's a decent deal and it works great.

A budget would help though, If you're rich I'd also recommend either the Sony Bravia with the new engine is supposed to be real good
