Actually the uT devs already released a new version patching few minor bugs. It's still 1.8 but the build changed from build 11742 to build 11758. So if you downloaded 1.8 yesterday, re-download it again.

That was the point of the post, if the staff get lazy (aka, releasing patches late), then people will end up going to Vuze, the biggest piece of trash ever.
