Not to be bashing on the OP or the thread as a whole but you really can't compare the series. In my opinion, it's like comparing Prison Break and Lost just because of the simple fact they both are labelled "Drama/Thriller". Two very different series that are both well crafted but just can't be compared analogically.

To answer the question I would have to say the The Simpsons is always number one even though I tend to enjoy Family Guy more. Quality is basically the amounts of laughs/minute for me and cult or nostalgia is greater than quality when it comes to these things.
